Emirates announces five-year deal with F1 --- Amrit

  • Emirates airlines have announced a five-year sponsorship deal with Formula One that will cover most of its races.

  • The deal announced by Formula One boss Bernie Ecclestone is an indication of the growing support for F1 racing in the oil-rich Gulf. The Dubai-based airline’s sponsorship deal includes 15 races this season starting in Malaysia.

  • Already from the region, Etihad airlines sponsor the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix and Gulf Air sponsors the Bahrain race.

  • The deal is part of Emirates efforts to spread its reach globally and is just the latest sponsorship deal involving a major sport. It already is an official partner with FIFA and recently signed a five-year deal with the ATP which begins in 2013.

Kingfisher Airlines reports Dec quarter loss of Rs.755 crore- Aman Raj Gupta

 

·         Kingfisher Airlines did not report any revenue during the quarter under review against Rs.1,367.71 crore a year ago this explains a continuous downfall.

·         Moreover this loss widened from Rs.444 crores in last quarter.

·         KFA has total debt around 7000 crore from over 17 banks moreover its share price has gone down from Rs.45.5 on 8th feb 11 to Rs.11.65 on 6th feb 2013.
