Peter England to launch concept stores ---- Harshit
·         Madura Fashion and Lifestyle, part of the diversified Aditya Birla Group, said its brand Peter England will open concept stores for working professionals by the end of the year.

·         “Peter England Generation is a brand new retail identity, a unique concept store that helps young professionals to progress through the first decade of his carrier.

·         The first Peter England Generation outlet will be opened in Bangalore by December, and will cater to segments — late university segment, early jobber segment, age of marriage segment.

·         The retail store designed by Dalziel&Pow will have casual, formal, party and wedding wear.

Colgate enters gum care segment --- Harshit

·         Colgate-Palmolive (India) Limited, the market leader in oral care, today announced the launch of Colgate Total Pro Gum Health in India.
·         Gum problems are one of the most frequently experienced oral health concerns and yet highly neglected by Indian consumers.
·         Only 43 per cent of those suffering from gum bleeding actually consult a dentist, while more than 35 per cent opt for home remedies like rinsing with warm water and applying clove and salt.

·         The iPad, on five out of the 12 tables at this outlet, is aimed at doing away with the order-booking supervisor, albeit partially.
·         The idea is when customer visits to different restaurants across the country and outside, made me realize that as a customer, one did not have the freedom to see the food that he/she is ordering.
·         Customers invariably place the order seeing the menu card and at times even without knowing what the dish would look like.
·         The iPad serves not only as a menu card, but also gives a picture of the dish.It is an interactive card with 60-plus items on display.
·         The customer can place his order on the touch screen and also make note of the bill amount from time to time.The idea has evoked a lot of interest.

Tata Starbucks opens 4th store in Mumbai---Amrit
·         Tata Starbucks Ltd, an equal joint venture partnership between Starbucks Coffee Company and Tata Global Beverages Ltd, opened its fourth store at Powai in eastern suburbs of Mumbai.
·        Avani Saglani Davda, CEO, Tata Starbucks, said to extend the unique Starbucks Experience to our customers and look forward to offering our high-quality products and elevated customer experience, while providing a community gathering place to connect with family and friends.
·        The store will be open to customers from 7 a.m. till midnight every day.

HCL Infosystems partners Big Bazar  --- Amrit
·         HCL Learning, the education and learning division of HCL Infosystems, has partnered with Big Bazaar to offer products across the latter are retail stores.
·         The initiative aims to offer education through technology and reach students and parents directly through an organized trade channel.
·         “The tie-up with Big Bazaar is part of company strategy to advance into the B2C space. Digital Learning is the way forward in the education space in increasing usage of learning in mobile devices,” HCL Infosystems EVP (Marketing, Strategy and Corporate Development) Rothin Bhattacharyya said.

          Omron Healthcare aims $43-m sales by FY’15- Aman

·         Japanese firm Omron Healthcare on Tuesday said it is aiming for nearly three—fold increase in revenues in India by FY15

·         It sells its healthcare products through 17,500 retail stores across India.

·         They are looking towards increasing our healthcare retail network by 25 per cent in the next 12 months

·         Omron Healthcare, which markets various products including blood pressure monitoring systems, today launched two new devices——HGM 111 and HGM 112 —— to monitor blood glucose in the body

·          the company would focus on expanding its reach in the tier II and tier III cities in the country as part of its plan to expand and achieve desired growth.

Tourism Ministry launches ‘Land of Pi’ campaign-Aman

·         Cashing on the hype around Life of Pi which has bagged several nominations at the Oscars, the Tourism Ministry has announced initiatives for promoting film tourism by encouraging shooting of films in India

·         The Ministry has launched ‘Land of Pi’ campaign to promote Puducherry and Munnar as tourist destinations where the film was shot

·         Land of Pi’ posters will be displayed worldwide throughout the Indian tourism offices. Luxury buses plying between Chennai and Puducherry and Kochi and Munnar will be branded with ‘Land of Pi’ creatives

·         special ‘Land of Pi’ tours and walking trails will be organized for tourists visiting Puducherry and Munnar

·         short films and virals on the tourist attractions in Puducherry and Munnar which have been depicted in the film have been created and the one being put on You Tube and other social media networks

·         A boat that hints at ‘Life of Pi’ with a stuffed toy tiger will be permanently placed at two prominent locations in Puducherry to provide a photo opportunity to visiting tourists

·         The Ministry also plans to launch contests, branded T-shirts, and video games. Besides English, the campaign will be undertaken in French, German. Spanish and Japanese. Also a road show to promote tourism in China and Taiwan will be organized

·        Fujifilm signs up Ignitee Digital to manage social media campaigns-Viresh

·         Fujifilm India, which has been active on Facebook, has decided to aggressively explore and leverage the social media platform.
·          The company has appointed Ignitee Digital, a digital marketing agency, to manage their social media campaigns and digital communication.
·         Ignitee will help establish youthful and contemporary brand imagery for the company. Fujifilm hopes to connect with tech savvy Indian youth with the objective of providing consumers more opportunities to interact and engage with the brand.
·         Towards this end, Ignitee will manage not only consumer engagement across all social networking sites but also digital media planning and buying for the brand across digital platforms.

·         The service is a range of personalised and theme-based packages for weddings and related occasions.
